I know I'm supposed to be working on the LJ meme drawings, but I got so excited about the U.S. release of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom that I had to stop and draw these! (I'm still working on the LJ drawings, though, trust me. I just want to wait to post them all at once.)

I switched styles partway through the background and now the colors look garish. Hopefully I can adjust it later. And I was planning on doing some cool stuff with the perspective, but I gave up and now some bits don't make any sense. Please don't look at it too hard~

This is a scene from the 1922 film, "Vanina oder Die Galgenhochzeit", which, by the way, I have never seen. I found the shot from a book on German Expressionist film, which I'm a big fan of.
